We're not JUST about hair...

We've decided not to set New Years Resolutions this year. Instead we're setting New Years Goals and one of our most important goals for 2024 is to improve our strength and build the body we want. We love our body no matter what it looks like, but that doesn't mean we can't strive for it to be better. We've decided to make healthy choices and we're starting with our strength and physical ability. We've provided a guide which we will be following, these exercises will help you build strength in the comfort of your own home.

Remember to take rest days and to consult a doctor before undertaking any type of physical activity, if you have been inactive for a while.

Don't think we forgot about our other goals, one of which is caring for our hair. Keeping our hair fresh while we workout is tough. Here are our Top Three Tips (and a lifesaving product recommendation):

  • If you are wearing your hair straight, wear a headscarf while you workout and wait until you have completely cooled down before removing it. This should help to combat some of the frizz that may occur in your roots. We recommend Bind London

  • Wear protective styles such as braids or twists while out to retain moisture, keep hair out of your way and reduce breakage.

  • If wearing your hair natural and curly, you should refresh or wash your hair when you finish your workout if possible. Pay extra attention to your roots to maintain a healthy scalp and avoid sweat build up.
